PLANNING TO VISIT GREECE STILL THIS YEAR?
Here is what you should know:
Greece is opening itself to tourists on June 15. Countries that can initially travel are: Cyprus, Israel, Germany, China, Australia, Japan, Denmark, Austria, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Norway.
More countries will be added to the list moving towards July 15.
There is no quarantine required upon arrival to Greece. Please check with your country the rules applying upon return back home.
Tourists will be allowed to enter Greece without taking coronavirus test.
If you decide to travel by plane, note that Greek airline Aegean Airlines is the most preferred one. Your international flight will be with a stopover in Athens. By June 18th you can purchase from them a flight ticket with a flexible policy. Your ticket will include open luggage and if needed you will be able to change your travel dates for free.
If you travel between the islands or mainland with a boat, only 50% of all the passenger seats will be available.
Masks are recommended inside indoor public spaces such as supermarkets.
