Hatha yoga can be also called a classic style of yoga that encourages body-mind-spirit connection. It is probably the most popular yoga style.
During the practice you usually start with warm-up exercises and a sun salutation. You will perform whole range of standing and balancing poses and poses on the floor. Floor poses will include lying on your tummy, lying on your back and seated positions. Some sort of inversion and back bend is usually included at the end of the practice followed by relaxation in savasana.
Poses during the hatha class can be held for couple rounds of breaths or you can move with your breath in a flow.
Good hatha class includes also a centering practice and breathing exercises (pranayama) when you have a chance to get the energy (prana) flowing through your system even to the most distant parts and organs.
