ENERGY BARS
TREATS FROM RETREATSIngredients:
Base:
1/4 cup nuts
1/4 cup nut butter
1/4 cup cacao
1 cup coconut flakes
1 spoon melted coconut oil
2-3 spoons of honey or maple sirup
Second layer:
1/2 cup peanut butter or tahini
1/4 cup honey or maple sirup
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
Optional: handful of raisins or date cuts
Top layer:
1 cup of melted chocolate
1 spoon melted coconut oil
Preparation:
Base: Use a mixer to chop your nuts. Afterwards using a hand mix together all the ingredients for the base including the nuts until you have a compact dough that you press to the bottom of the tray.
Second layer: Using a hand mix together all the ingredients for the second layer and pour it on top of the past. Spread it evenly to cover fully the base.
Top layer: Melt chocolate with coconut oil and pour it on top of the second layer.
Leave in a freezer of 20 minutes and then cut into bars and enjoy.
